Voice acting is one of the best in the series though. If one thinks this is bad, they really should revisit the original '96 RE1. Controls are convoluted and bad. Any game where a simple action as opening a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door results in a mini QTE is bad. (Yes, goes to ALL Quantic Dream games as well.)
The remake will likely be very different and the original is an outstanding game that is very much worth playing (after you’ve played the remake if you want to experience that first). RE5 is a much better game than RE6 in my opinion and also very much worth playing. Re 6 is worth 20 bucks, yes.
Granted, neither are really scary, and the beginning mission of RE 6 with Leon sucks even more than the partner AI in RE 5, but both are pretty fun to play and RE 5 has so much cheese and hammy lines that make up for the lack of a scary atmosphere. Of course they both have lots of other problems, but I think that's something for another thread.

It all really depends on what you want out of your Resident Evil game. Revelations was pretty good, it was tense, but it was still an action game at heart. It barely had any metroidvania elements in it and very much played out in an Episodic format. Resident Evil 6 is just, straight up an action game. Completely.
I'm not a fan of Resident Evil games. Might be why you like 6. It isn't a horrible game on its own, but the RE fanbase can be divided into two distinct groups Pre 4 and Post 4, although some fans overlap. If you are a fan of the originals you generally think that 5/6 suck, and although 4 was a great game, it wasn't really a 'resident evil game.'.Oddly enough it didn't feel like a Resident Evil Difficulty, Instead it felt more like a hybrid of some kind with Resident Evil mechanics which is why it played so badly. Multiplayer The multiplayer was good, the ability to control enemies in players games was a great addition. 13 Shortest: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City – 6 Hours. Operation Raccoon City drops all pretense of survival horror. Instead, it’s a squad-based multiplayer shooter and not a particularly beloved one. Due to the game’s many technical issues, people have been highly critical of the game since its release. CiYES.
