I have only played Resident Evil 2 (remake) and Resident Evil 6. I don’t really understand the hate for 6. It’s very different and very goofy, but for the most part it was quite fun to play Co-Op with a friend and shoot different monsters with the satisfying gun play or laugh at over the top moments. Resi 2 is no doubt a better game. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns. Katojana • 5 yr. ago. The worst resident Evil game is Umbrella Corps. The main line games all had flaws (all of em) but I wouldnt call any of em bad. MeatSafeMurderer My extraction point! in 7:26 • 5 yr. ago. RE6. To me, the control scheme in RE6 was really a step up, even if the classic Capcom akwardness still remains partially. Nevertheless, it's definitely a plus as opposed to getting the same clunky game with the same clunky controls. Not that the predecessors where bad, for sure. But for all what's wrong for the fanboys in RE6, I really liked the 8 sold really well and got great reception from both fans and critics. They probably weren't expecting people to ask for DLC seeing as the announcement was literally just a text saying "Village DLC is being developed" at E3.
Yeah Resident Evil 6 isn’t good but it’s not Racoon City or Umbrella Corps. RE6s biggest sins were that it felt like it was trying to keep too many plates in the air. When the game was trying to be an action packed shooter in Chris and Jake’s campaigns it fell flat on its face.
Resident Evil 6 is so insane, so Japanise and so satisying mechanichally that it is fantastic fun. It's not even trying to be scary, it's trying to be badass and suceeding massively. Same thing with Dead Space 3. It's total garbage nonsense but you can make a shotgun that shoots circular saws and everything ends like some kind of Bayonetta climax. Resident Evil 6 is a really awesome and fun game, but it’s not necessarily a good “Resident Evil” by a lot of people’s standards. You should try it, it’s usually pretty cheap nowadays, if you hate it then you hate it. If you love it, awesome, one more person to appreciate it. But you should form your own judgements on it.
Voice acting is one of the best in the series though. If one thinks this is bad, they really should revisit the original '96 RE1. Controls are convoluted and bad. Any game where a simple action as opening a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door results in a mini QTE is bad. (Yes, goes to ALL Quantic Dream games as well.)
After Welcome to Raccoon City 's middling reception in 2021, the Netflix show seemingly had nowhere to go but up. Following the series' release, Resident Evil has scored only 24% with its Rotten Tomatoes audience and 1.9 among MetaCritic users. Most frustratingly of all, these scores likely would have been higher if obvious Resident Evil
After the incredible foundations that were laid down by Resident Evil 4, which has also since had an equally successful Remake, Capcom got straight to work on Resident Evil 5.. The game was easily
The remake will likely be very different and the original is an outstanding game that is very much worth playing (after you’ve played the remake if you want to experience that first). RE5 is a much better game than RE6 in my opinion and also very much worth playing. Re 6 is worth 20 bucks, yes.
Granted, neither are really scary, and the beginning mission of RE 6 with Leon sucks even more than the partner AI in RE 5, but both are pretty fun to play and RE 5 has so much cheese and hammy lines that make up for the lack of a scary atmosphere. Of course they both have lots of other problems, but I think that's something for another thread.

For Resident Evil 6 on the PlayStation 3, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "I really want to like this game but it's really bad.". Resident Evil 6 finally answers that question. A rogue group dubbed Neo-Umbrella gets ahold of the C-Virus and uses it to launch a global terrorist attack (hence the aforementioned zombie Success hinges on Leon blasting a barrel of explosives in time. But just when you think things can’t get more intense, you find yourself on an aeroplane. The pilot is infected by the C-Virus and
It all really depends on what you want out of your Resident Evil game. Revelations was pretty good, it was tense, but it was still an action game at heart. It barely had any metroidvania elements in it and very much played out in an Episodic format. Resident Evil 6 is just, straight up an action game. Completely.
I'm not a fan of Resident Evil games. Might be why you like 6. It isn't a horrible game on its own, but the RE fanbase can be divided into two distinct groups Pre 4 and Post 4, although some fans overlap. If you are a fan of the originals you generally think that 5/6 suck, and although 4 was a great game, it wasn't really a 'resident evil game.'.
Oddly enough it didn't feel like a Resident Evil Difficulty, Instead it felt more like a hybrid of some kind with Resident Evil mechanics which is why it played so badly. Multiplayer The multiplayer was good, the ability to control enemies in players games was a great addition. 13 Shortest: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City – 6 Hours. Operation Raccoon City drops all pretense of survival horror. Instead, it’s a squad-based multiplayer shooter and not a particularly beloved one. Due to the game’s many technical issues, people have been highly critical of the game since its release. CiYES.
